Our Environment Matters

We believe the environment in which we learn is just as important as the clinical therapy we provide. Research supports the benefits of having a purposeful, natural and cozy space for all— children and adults.

“Children’s Houses”… A Place to Call Home
We invest in creating intentionally-designed spaces that are warm and welcoming. We call our buildings “Children’s Houses” (a term borrowed from Montessori schools) because this is the domain of Children. We want our children to play and learn in a safe space they love.

Autism From The Start® has 2 Johnson County locations, Lenexa and Shawnee with a third location on the way!

We are excited to announce the opening of the newest Children’s House in Olathe, KS coming in Spring 2026. Opening our Olathe location allows us to better serve families, as wait lists for services can be months long, and we know that time is valuable.
